Hero allows Faculty and Coordinators to leave two sorts of comments when they adopt an item. One set of comments heads to the student, and might encourage them to buy the book, offer a recommendation, or clear up any possible confusion.
The other set of comments heads to the bookstore, and might give hints or help on textbook sourcing. Maybe the faculty member knows exactly now many students are going to be attending her class and wants to give you a heads up. Or that she has 10 copies of the textbook in her office that she intends to hand out.
Here's what it looks like when faculty or coordinators leave comments in the Adoption Editor:
If you want to review Bookstore Comments in Hero, you have two ways to do it.
From the Title Research page, select the Term and then Department you want to review. Scroll through the adoptions and stop anywhere that seems interesting to you. It'll look like this:
Title Research does a lot more than just show you adoption comments. If you want to read up on it, you can do that here.
All Items Report
The Title Research page sure is pretty, but if you're just looking for bookstore comments it has two drawbacks: you have to scroll through a term by department, and you can't filter to only those adoptions with comments.
If you'd like to see all comments for an entire term, then the All Items Report is your friend. Head over to the Stats Page, select the Term you'd like at the top of the page, and then click the All Items Report.
Once you download the report, you'll see a simple Excel spreadsheet. Pop it open, sort it how you like, and review away!
That's it! If you have any questions (or, dare we say, any comments) for us, grab your nearest Customer Success Manager, or shoot an email over to firstname.lastname@example.org. We'll get you taken care of.
