Reports and Data Sorts
The All Items Report works great, but some users noted that the timestamps in the All Items Report were sometimes 1/1/0001 12:00:00 AM. Hero's been around for a few years, but not since Caesar Augustus. From now on, adoptions that sync with a POS will come over with their timestamp intact, or if that's not possible will appear with "Date Unknown" in the timestamp field.
Improvement: The Department Summary Report got itself two new fields to help you transparently report on your institution's HEOA Compliance. As of today, you'll see Adoption Due Date and First Day of Class in the Department Summary Report, along with a few nifty calculations based on those fields. But there's a bit of work here for you as well. First Day of Class and Adoption Due Date depend on Control Dates that you set in the Admin menu of Hero.
To set those dates, pull up the Control Date window, select the Term you want to adjust, and then click the Type dropdown menu. What you set for Open-for-Adoptions will affect the Adoption Due Date. What you set for Class-in-Session will affect the First Day of Class. If you have questions about what goes where, just send us an email.
If your students don't have access to the features of Hero that an SSO integration enables, we still want them to have a good time building booklists and purchasing course materials. To help them along, we've added a Print button to the guest checkout experience.
